Important Worship, Transition, & Ministry Updates

Freshwater family,

I hope this post finds you well – embracing your saltiness and shining on for our Lord Jesus! I am writing today to share with you a few updates and reminders about worship, transition, and ministry. After reading through this information if you have any questions or if I can meet a need for you in any way please do not hesitate to reach out and let me know. I love you all deeply and I am excited about the days and opportunities in front of us as we move forward into God’s future together glorifying God and advancing the Gospel all along the way.

Worship Updates

    • Our final Sunday evening worship gathering is this Sunday, November 11th at 5:00 PM
    • We will gather at 989 E. 380th Road, Bolivar, MO 65613
        • Directions: Take Hwy 83 north of Bolivar; you will go past The Berry Patch; the home we are gathering at is up a large hill on your left hand side as you are traveling north; there will be a roadside indicator (sign/balloons/etc) to help you find the turn; be patient while someone helps you find a good parking spot
        • Carpool if possible
    • There will be hotdogs and marshmallows provided for roasting, but we are also having a potluck so bring a dish or two along with you (main, side, dessert dishes are all welcome)
    • We will have a time of worship, a time of prayer in recognition of Orphan Care Sunday, a short message, and a time of testimony reflecting on our journey together as a church family and God’s faithfulness and mercy

Transition Updates

    • This Saturday, November 10th at 1:00 PM the Children’s Ministry of FBC are hosting an open house event for our families in the main building. The purpose of this open house is to help Freshwater families understand the FBC childcare registration information and procedures, tour the building so you know exactly where to take your kids on a Sunday, and to build relationships
    • We want to encourage every Freshwater family, member, and attender to attend a Sunday morning worship gathering at FBC Bolivar this Sunday, November 11th. Here are some great options for you to choose from:
        •   8:00 AM; The Esquire; Acoustic Worship
        •   9:15 AM; Main Building; Band-led Worship
        • 10:50 AM; Main Building; Traditional/Choir Worship
        • 10:50 AM; The Esquire; Band-led Worship (video sermon recorded from 8:00 AM)
    • This week Laurel & I will be attending the 8:00 AM service in the Esquire and we’d love for any of y’all to join us there
    • Starting Sunday, November 18th we hope to see all of our Freshwater family at FBC Bolivar for worship; if you need assistance finding your place or rhythm at FBC you can reach out to Dave directly – 417.576.5441 (mobile);

Ministry Updates

    • If you are interested in serving some very special families in our community the FBC clothing drive “store” is open this Sunday, November 11th from 2:00-4:00 in the Rec Building (located just west of the main building)
    • National collection week for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes is Nov. 12th – 19th. You can drop off boxes at FBC Bolivar
    • The holiday season is upon us and that means it is time to ring the bells for Salvation Army. You can visit: for information and schedules to sign-up now
    • I will be sharing an update next week on the staffing consideration process and timeline for Laurel and me. We appreciate your continued prayers and support as we are taking the time to make this process as healthy and effective as it can be for our family, Freshwater, and FBC.

Freshwater, I love you all so very much and am blessed beyond words to be your pastor. I thank and praise God for you daily. If I can serve you in any way at all this week please let me know. For God’s glory and for the advance of the Gospel…

In love,
